Game: Helping Partners

Materials:
·         Inflated balloons.
Divide players into pairs and have each pair link arms. Give each team an inflated balloon. On signal, they start batting the balloon towards the finish line. They may not unlink arms during the race. If the balloon falls to the ground, they must stop and pick it up before going on.

Game: The Snail

Materials:
·         Large playing area, large group of players, long rope or skipping rope.
The group stands in a line, each person holding the rope in one hand. Starting at one end, the group makes a large coil, like the shell of a snail. After the coiling is complete, the group moves slowly together 15 or 20 feet in one direction and then uncoils.

Game: Anatomy

Description of Game:
Players are in a circle, with one player in the center. The center player faces on player, points to (for example) his ear and says, “This is my elbow!” The player being faced must immediately point to his elbow and say “This is my ear!” If he responds correctly, he keeps his position and the center player turns to someone else, points to her nose and says “This is my foot!” and so on. Any person giving an incorrect answer becomes the center player.
Once everyone has the idea, speed up the action by having 2 or 3 players in the center.
Categories of Game: Campfire, Circle, Quiet, Sense/Skill Training
Space Required: Meeting hall – space large enough for a circle.

Game: Blindfold Orienteering

Materials:
·         Blindfolds for each player
Purpose of Game:
To develop a sense of distance and direction. Players should be given opportunity to check the distance covered by a normal walking pace.
Description of Game:
Line up the group on an open field with few obstructions – a sports field is idea.
Each player faces an easily identifiable object (such as a tree, a goal post or a leader) that is about 50 to 75 meters away.
Still facing the object, each player blindfolds himself. When a player is touched by the leader, he starts walking in the direction of the object, stopping at a preset distance from the object – say 20 paces. When all have come to a stop, the leader calls, “Off Blindfolds!” so that the players can see how well they have done.
VARIATION: When a player comes to a point he believes is the preset distance from the object, he removes his blindfold and walks to the object, counting out loud the number of paces he has to take. The winner would be the one who is closest to the preset number of paces.
Categories of this game: Outdoor , Quiet, Sense/Skill training
