May 31, 2014 Community Service Project

Today, we gathered as a Cub Pack to assist our town in cleaning up the cemetery. Akela had a few of her family members join us as well. Below are some photos of us working. The biggest, hardest part of this job, was raking up all the leaves under the trees on the north side of the cemetery. You can see how many bags we filled!!!

This week we scrapbooked all the photos from our visits within the community. Baloo taught us how to fix a squeaky hinge and he also taught us how to work a door knob.

May 21, 2014 Cub Scout Den Meeting

This week we visited the local newspaper office. Living in a small community, we did not get to see a printing press, but that isn't the point of the blue star. The point is to learn about what is in our community. We learned how they put the paper together, take photos, and prepare them for the paper. We even saw the huge books they keep of newspaper archives. Below are some of the pictures taken at that visit...
