Gathering Activity: Puzzle

Materials:
·         Puzzle
Have the boys work together to assemble the puzzle. If possible keep it undisturbed so it can be completed over the next few weeks.

THEME ACTIVITY: Sock Puppet Story

Materials Needed

  • Paper
  • Pencils
  • Eraser


Help the Cubs brainstorm a fun story they can act out using sock puppets. Have them decide what their sock puppet will be.

Badgework: Reading a Book

Materials Needed:
·         Book which includes a table of contents, forward, chapters, glossary and index

Show the boys the different parts of a book. Explain what each part is for. Show them how to open a new book and to care for all books.
