Badge-work for March
Please read through the
following badge work and try to make a point of completing these requirements
in the month of March. Have your parents initial and date each requirement as
you complete it and be sure to bring this sheet back to Cubs so we can track
your progress!
HOME
REPAIR BADGE:
_________________ 1. Show
how to turn on and off the electric power supply and the water supply in your
home. Explain how to turn off the gas supply if your home uses gas.
_________________ 2. Replace
a light bulb in a socket. With an adult, check in your house which light bulbs
could be replaced by an energy efficient fluorescent bulb.
EMERGENCY
PREPAREDNESS AWARD:
_________________ 5. Create an
Emergency Family Survival Kit for home use (to support your family for 72
hours). If your family already has a 72 hour emergency kit, be involved in
helping to rotate and upkeep its contents.
BLUE STAR:
_________________ 5B. Carry out out an
accident and fire prevention check of your home, garage, Cub meeting place; or
community. With your family, draw an emergency escape plan for your home.
